Adding HYPE

HYPE, short for Hydrological Predictions for the Environment model, is a semi-distributed catchment model. It simulates water flow and substances on their way from precipitation through different storage compartments and fluxes to the sea. Through a collaboration with SMHI; our research, experimental modelling and finally daily operation, we have made HYPE become the core of our new hydro modelling system. One year after we started the project, we believe HYPE, combined with our advanced high-frequency modelling on top, in many ways surpasses the traditional HBV model. The new web pages, SMHI HYPE, are to be viewed as complementary information to our hydrology report. We expect experienced analysts to find the added information useful. The data series are also made available for download.
